The Bands of McBee serve as a home away from home for our students, past and present. A place to make lifelong friends, experience both disappointing failure and exhilarating success, and share in a common bond with the world through music. Our students learn and practice skills that will not only help them in the classroom, but throughout life as citizens in an ever-changing world. As Director, I aspire to be a guiding hand along that journey.

Our Mission
The mission of The Bands of McBee is to achieve excellence in the areas of musicianship and student leadership while fostering a family oriented atmosphere and an Esprit de Corps. In addition, The Bands of McBee will promote positive emotional and social development by providing every student with the very best musical education possible through structured rehearsal, meaningful performance, and individual achievement.
Our History
Restarted in 2008, the Music Program at McBee High School started with only seven students. As of 2019, there are over 100 musicians involved in our program - about 25% of the entire student body!
